History

The boys are learning all about ancient civilizations...right now they are learning all about Pharaoh Menes. He was the first Egyptian ruler to unite upper and lower Egypt and establish the city of Memphis. When he united Egypt he wore both upper and lower crowns together...we made replicas. Enjoy.

Science Museum

Dawson wanted to go to the science museum for his birthday. They were having a special day about spiders and everyone dressed up. The kids had a blast.Dawson is trying to keep his eyes open...I have 100 pictures of him with closed eyes!

Bayleigh playing peek- a -boo with Daddy.

Tanner and Gena in the sand pit.

Being 2.

Spiders...big ones! We learned that Trantulas are not deadly...getting bit is like getting stung by a bee. The Costner's were not willing to find out!
Nurse Gena
Oh, snakes too! This one liked Gena, but she wasn't as friendly!

Pumpkin Patch

We made our annual trip to the Pumpkin Patch last week. The hayride with Mrs. Farmer is their favorite part.
Gena was very happy!
Bayleigh tries out the tire swing.
The boys love playing with their homeschool friends.
Bayleigh passed out, holding her pumpkin and a lap full of candy corn!

No Gils Allowed...the tree house!

Chris has been working on a tree house with the boys. Here it is.

The first sign said..."No Grls!" I told them they were missing a letter and this was the new sign!

Tony is so handsome.

He looks so much like Abby but has his father's temperament.

He loves watching the children play.

Abby finally looking herself again.

Tony is helping Dawson with the sidewalk chalk...he and Abby both enjoy eating sidewalk chalk for some reason!

Our Mountain Vacation

Bayleigh loves "the ponies."

The caverns had a strange effect on Dawson!

Down town Blowing Rock. We ate at a cool pizza parlor.

Bayleigh with her baby goat...she talked to it like it was one of our puppies.

Gena posing in front of a huge rock flow formation...we named giant pickle.

We had a wonderful time! We stayed in a great cabin, that one of Chris' clients so graciously let us use. The boys loved shooting their bb guns and going on trails, and I loved rocking away on the front porch. Chris had to drag me to the van when it was time to leave!
