Christmas Sewing

This is the night gown I have been working on for Genevieve, I am also making a smaller version for Bayleigh. I still have to finish out some of the trim and add a few bows. I can't wait to see them open them on Christmas morning!
Thanks mom for all of your long distance sewing advice!

Adoration...my favorite hymn

Praise to the Lord, the Almighty
1665
Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation;
O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy health and salvation:
All ye who hear, Now to His temple draw near;
join me in glad adoration.
Praise to the Lord, Who o'er all things so wondrously reigneth,
Shelters thee under His wings, yea, so gently sustaineth:
Hast thou not seen How thy desires e'er have been
Granted in what He ordaineth.
Praise to the Lord, Who doth prosper thy works and defend thee;
Surely His goodness and mercy here daily attend thee.
Ponder anew What the Almighty can do,
If with His love He befriend thee!
Praise to the Lord, Who with marvelous wisdom hath made thee,
Decked thee with health and with loving hand guided and stayed thee.
How oft in grief Hath not He brought thee relief,
Spreading His wings to o'er shade thee!
Praise to the Lord, Who when darkness of sin is abounding,
Who, when the godless do triumph, all virtue confounding,
Sheddeth His light, chaseth the horrors of night,
Saints with His mercy surrounding.
Praise to the Lord, O let all that is in me adore Him!
All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before Him.
Let the Amen Sound from His people again,
Gladly for aye we adore Him.

Grandpa Dawson

Robert Lee Dawson.
God has been so gracious to our family by allowing my beloved Grandfather to pass quickly with assurance of his salvation. The children and I arrived on Sat Night, we visited him in the hospital on Sunday and had wonderful conversation. Dawson made him laugh with his super human skinny trick and Bayleigh entertained with her smiles. Grandpa Dawson fell asleep early this morning surrounded by his wife and daughters. I am so thankful that the end to his suffering has come. Glory be to God! Please keep my family in prayer this week as we move on with funeral arrangements.

History

The boys are learning all about ancient civilizations...right now they are learning all about Pharaoh Menes. He was the first Egyptian ruler to unite upper and lower Egypt and establish the city of Memphis. When he united Egypt he wore both upper and lower crowns together...we made replicas. Enjoy.

Science Museum

Dawson wanted to go to the science museum for his birthday. They were having a special day about spiders and everyone dressed up. The kids had a blast.Dawson is trying to keep his eyes open...I have 100 pictures of him with closed eyes!

Bayleigh playing peek- a -boo with Daddy.

Tanner and Gena in the sand pit.

Being 2.

Spiders...big ones! We learned that Trantulas are not deadly...getting bit is like getting stung by a bee. The Costner's were not willing to find out!
Nurse Gena
Oh, snakes too! This one liked Gena, but she wasn't as friendly!

Gena was very happy!
Bayleigh tries out the tire swing.
The boys love playing with their homeschool friends.
Bayleigh passed out, holding her pumpkin and a lap full of candy corn!

No Gils Allowed...the tree house!

Chris has been working on a tree house with the boys. Here it is.

The first sign said..."No Grls!" I told them they were missing a letter and this was the new sign!

He loves watching the children play.

Abby finally looking herself again.

Bayleigh loves "the ponies."

We had a wonderful time! We stayed in a great cabin, that one of Chris' clients so graciously let us use. The boys loved shooting their bb guns and going on trails, and I loved rocking away on the front porch. Chris had to drag me to the van when it was time to leave!
